There are countless reasons not to start a blog, especially when it seems like every conceivable company and bored teenager is doing it. Building a following is difficult, you need to do it religiously, SEO matters a lot and then there’s the issue of choosing the right platform. However, there are also many people who aren’t blogging but should be. They’re missing out on an approach that’s a perfect match for their target audience.

However, even these people need to follow the basics of good blogging that includes having a game plan. Create a spreadsheet of potential topics along with SEO key words and phrases. Don’t forget to cater to holidays, peak seasons or special events that might tie in nicely. 2. Real estate agents

The process of buying and selling a home is a mystery even for people who have done it before. A real estate agent can use their platform to educate, spread the word about crazy RE news (like that most expensive house in the UK that garnered millions for home automation alone), and even pepper in images about properties for sale. Just avoid making it a sales platform and you’re golden.

3. Teachers

There’s a big disparity between teachers and parents that needs to be addressed. While there’s of course the issue of privacy, as long as you’re not blogging about any particular student, you can use a blog as a means of communicating with parents and even students (if they’re old enough). It’s your avenue for being seen as a real human instead of a “teacher” who’s untouchable.

Auto mechanics are holders of great mysteries (perhaps even more so than real estate agents). You can also educate, inform and speak in laymen’s terms on a blog. When your audience sees you as a regular person, you’re likelier to drum up business.
