Last year, Motorola’s interview with TechRadar has mentioned that the Nexus 6 was too great, when the smartphone was ready, but Google wanted a smartphone with a large screen, so that the company released it to Nexus project. We expect that a similar situation waiting for us in 2017, the Google again wants a great product.
Google Pixel 2: News and Rumors

A new rumor about Google Pixel 2 promises a smartphone with a curved screen, when it will be launched this year. Google is trying to create an order for curved OLED-panels from LG Display Company, which means that the company is ready to put on curved screens for Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
Another rumor about Google Pixel 2 believes that smartphones will come with a waterproof design. Senior Editor 9to5Google shares information source that smart phones will be waterproof. The source also indicates that the Pixel 2 is going to use an upgraded chipset and camera, which could partly justify the higher price.
The same source then contact 9to5Google, to announce that the search giant is currently testing a budget phone Pixel, which will be pruned characteristics at a lower price. This rumor was later refuted by Google Exec, which makes it unlikely – but Exec rebuttal comes about Pixel, so it is always possible that Google is a budget smartphone will come out Pixel branding.
We also heard that a full PHABLET waiting for its release, along with Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, which will allow us to see at least three Pixel smartphone this year. Another source said that Pixel 2 can get rid of a 3.5mm headphone jack, which seems odd, given that Google is actively marked its presence in the original Pixel advertising.
As for the other rumors of Pixel 2, they simply do not. But we can make some educated guesses about what we are likely to see in new Pixel.
For example, the Snapdragon 835 looks like the most suitable chip for flagships in 2017, so there is a good chance that Pixel 2 would be to use it, on the other hand, considering the release at the end of 2017, Google can use something newer for their phones.
One thing that we can be assured, regardless of any circumstances, Pixel 2 will run on the latest version of Android, it is likely that it will be launched with Android O. Google Pixel 2 can also be based on the functions of the original model, adding missing features – do not be surprised if the new smartphone will be waterproof and standard screen Pixel 2 grows at resolutions up to QHD.
This could put it side by side with Pixel XL, which Google has positioned suitable for Daydream VR platform, thanks to the visual experience with the additional pixels.
